One of our summer adventures included going with David to the Columbus Zoo. We all love the zoo and could spend...and did spend...hours there! The kids, of course, have to stop in the gift shop before we leave and they spend most of their vacation money there! Above is Maddie petting a cornsnake and Isaac participating in the penguin line-up. Do you think he looks more like a Rockhopper or an Emperor? :)
Of course a trip to the zoo would not be complete without several poses with statues! What hams!!!
Next we went to Canton to see Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Bob, most of the kids' cousins, uncles and aunts, Ba-Ba, and their very favorite friend of Grandma's....Miss Kathy. Kathy has an indoor pool that the kids could spend all day in! And her daughter owns an alpaca farm that we love to visit when we come up.

Callico and her family had a going-away party at the local skating rink. All of our family and all of their friends came to say goodbye in a 'fun' way. There were lots of tears, but we all knew they would be happy in Chicago. And they are! Mark is getting promoted again, and his boss is talking of moving him to a more productive area in the Spring. 
Maddie and her cousin Keith...Shawn and Jenn's oldest. The kids have so much fun with their cousins, and they are all so close. I feel so blessed to have such a close-knit family and for the kids to grow up surrounded by the love of others and those they love as well. Well....stay tuned. I promise to try harder to keep on top of this. I have so much to update everyone on!
